The Time Traveler's Wife

by Audrey Neffenegger

This is next on deck. I got it from Miranda, I'm 27 pages in and I love it.

Synopsis: A most untraditional love story, this is the celebrated tale of Henry DeTamble, a dashing, adventuresome librarian who involuntarily travels through time, and Clare Abshire, an artist whose life takes a natural sequential course. Henry and Clare's passionate affair endures across a sea of time and captures them in an impossibly romantic trap that tests the strength of fate and basks in the bonds of love.

I gave this book to my mom to read while we were in Hawaii. She liked it, but not as much as I did. Which is why I get the feeling that I will enjoy Atonement more than she did.

I'm now 80% through. I'm sad that the story has turned a bit sad but its still very engaging. Sometimes I lose interest when things start to suck in the life of the characters.

I sort of wish Henry and Clare had different fonts. I sometimes forget who is narrating when they just describe the actions of others.

I stayed up till 3am reading this last night. I chose it over American Idol. That's hard core.

You're probably at the point where I seriously considered just stoping and pretending that the book ended before anything bad happened.
